Urgent Prayer need

Brethren:

Please remembr Dayspring Children's Home and the Christians in South India in your prayers. At the present time there is a surge in persecution against the Christians. Adam reports 50 churches have been burnt, pastors have been beaten, and women raped. This is happening in Adam's state and neighboring states.

Also, donations have decreased for Dayspring and they are in great need. The proceeds are used for the ministry as well as to help these Christians who are suffering greatly for the Gospel.

In Christ,
Geoff

Travel to India

Please pray for me as I begin plans to travel to India this year. It has been my desire for some time now to visit the work and I am thinking of going in November. I am asking the Lord for a travel partner and asked a friend to go with me. Please pray for this as well. Once dates are firm I will post more details.

A caste-away for Christ

Meet Laxmi. About five years ago a team gospel workers and orphans went to her village at night to preach the Gospel, singing the praises of God, and there she received Christ--secretly. Laxmi is from a strong Hindu family. For her to receive Christ openly means severe persecution for her.
Over time, she slowly became more open about her faith in Jesus Christ and has now openly confessed Him. She has faced many persecutions now for her faith in Jesus having been beaten several times. She has been excommunicated from her caste.

The Scripture says, "And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake" Phil 1:28-29

In the photo Adam is baptizing our dear sister, which occurred this last Lord's Day. Please be in prayer for her. Adam reports that her desire is to stand firm in Christ no matter what may come against her.

About Dayspring

In the begining of the 1980's, God moved two Indian brothers, Adam and Eliah, to dedicate their entire lives caring for the poor orphans and widows. They began to open their homes to about 20 children who had lost their parents and used to wander at railway stations. Since that time, their ministry grew and became Dayspring Children's Home that cares for over 180 children in two cities, 75 widows, and 70 gospel workers.

The ministry serves the children by providing food, shelter, and clothing. In addition, Dayspring functions as a fully-accredited primary and secondary school. Most importantly, from the time they enter Dayspring they are welcomed with the love of Jesus Christ and begin to learn the Scriptures which are able to make them wise unto salvation.

About Me

My name is Geoff Flahardy. I live in the Atlanta area with my wife and children, work a full-time job, and am attending seminary with The Midwest Center for Theological Studies. We are members of Berean Baptist Church, a Reformed Baptist church, in Austell GA. In the past, I have served the Lord in missions and vocational ministry.

I learned of Dayspring Children's Home two years ago. I met Adam Sandipudi, one of the founders of Dayspring, in a Yahoo! chat room. (Before you write this ministry off, hear me out lol) The night before I prayed specifically for an opportunity to fulfill James 1:27 which says, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

I was visiting Yahoo! Chat rooms as an attempt at internet evangelism (which is a waste of time, so I learned) and "met" Adam. I was a bit amazed at the work Adam began to describe to me because everything he was doing was exactly what I prayed for. However, I wasn't about to begin supporting a ministry of someone I met through a chat room!

I asked Adam if any missionaries had been to visit him who live in the United States. He said that both Dr. Harold Finch and his son Greg Finch had been to their ministry and helped them. I was able to contact Greg who highly recommended the work to me (if your googling, it is THE Dr. Harlod Finch, NASA scientist and project director for Appollo missions).

After independantly verifying the validity of the ministry I concluded that the Lord had indeed answered my prayers and have been supporting Dayspring ever since. The creation of this website is my attempt, by the will of God, to continue and expand this support.
