Children Need Better Living Condition
About Dayspring
Dayspring Children’s Home was started in the year 1990 with the aim of uplifting the unfortunate, unwanted and downtrodden children in the society.

The president of Dayspring, Adam, was born in a poor Christian family. His parents were strong Christians. They didn't have proper house to live in. If it rained there was not even one yard of dry ground in that poor house. If it was night time they all must spend the night without sleep just by sitting in a corner of the house. They each only had one pair of clothes. They have suffered for want of food and starved for many days. But their parents wanted their children to get education.

While all the neighboring families send their grown up children for work to earn money, these Christian parents sacrificed a lot to make their children get education. During the education Adam suffered very much. His parents could not pay the school fees, which made the school management send Adam out of school.

At initial stage he found some unfortunate children at railway stations while they were waiting at dust bins for the left over pieces of food. The dogs wait one side while the kids wait another side for the wastage food in the dust bins and the kids were licking the food. Such children were brought to the home and washed, clothed, medicated, and homed.

It was a dangerous night when the ocean’s tidal waves blowout with the height of 10 meters and entered into the villages. Nearly ten thousand dead bodies were found by the next morning. Due to this tragic natural calamity many hundreds of children suddenly became orphaned. Some of these kids were brought to Dayspring Home.

Some children became orphans due to heavy floods in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. So by looking at the pitiable and sorrowful condition Dayspring thought as a Christian organization it is its primary responsibility to take care of some struggling children.

The Dayspring Home is heavily burdened for the poorest children in the society who can not attend any good school, cannot eat good food, no proper place to sleep, no parental care. In light of this, the management has visited some slums in the city and found many children with various diseases, burning bowels, nakedness, homeless and nobody is there to take care of them. They just sleep on the foot path. The bridges and foot paths are their living places.

By experiencing and witnessing all these sufferings for food, educational needs, housing, etc., Adam was burdened heavily for the unfortunate children in the society. He dedicated himself for the Lord’s work and wanted to bring up as many poorest children as he can during his life time. Then with prayer and kind supports of Lord’s servants Rev. Scott & Debbie Smith and some saints of Hong Kong, he started a children home with the name Dayspring Children's Home.

About Me
My name is Geoff Flahardy. I live in the Atlanta area with my wife and children, work a full-time job, and and serve the Lord in my area. In the past, I have served the Lord in missions and vocational ministry.

I learned of Dayspring Children's Home over two years ago. I met Adam Sandipudi, one of the founders of Dayspring, in a Yahoo! chat room. (Before you write this me off, hear me out lol) The night before I prayed specifically for an opportunity to fulfill James 1:27 which says, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

I was visiting Yahoo! Chat rooms as an attempt at internet evangelism (which is a waste of time, so I learned) and "met" Adam. I was a bit amazed at the work Adam began to describe to me because everything he was doing was exactly what I prayed for. However, I wasn't about to begin supporting the ministry of someone I met through a chat room!

I asked Adam if any missionaries had been to visit him who live in the United States. He said that both Dr. Harold Finch and his son Greg Finch had been to their ministry and helped them. I was able to contact Greg who highly recommended the work to me (if your googling, it is THE Dr. Harlod Finch, NASA scientist and project director for Appollo missions).

After independantly verifying the validity of the ministry I concluded that the Lord had indeed answered my prayers and have been supporting Dayspring ever since. The creation of this website is my attempt, by the will of God, to continue and expand this support.

There also exists a ministry called Friends of India (FOI) which supports this work out of Hong Kong. You will find a link to their website on the homepage. Furthermore, a dear friend of mind recently moved to India to serve as a missionary and has verified the validity of this work. By God's grace I will also travel to India to serve and see this work also.

Further, a YWAM team based out of Florida learned about the work from me and a friend of mine. Since then, they have sent mission teams to this work and have attested to it as a faithful and true work of God. I am still waiting and praying for the opportunity to go to India see the work, pray with the people and preach the Gospel to these dear souls. Until then, Soli Deo Gloria.
